So I am still in a crafty mood. Felipe likes to save boxes we get from things at Costco like diapers, wipes, waffles, oatmeal, etc. He gives the boxes to the kids to put their toys and stuff in. I just don't think that the boxes are that attractive to keep toys in. I was reading one of those books about things to make with kids on rainy days and I saw one that was - Make your own toy box. So we decided to make some even though it was not rainy. It said to paper mache the box first, but I am not a paper mache -er type person. I have never made any paper mache thing in my life so I decided to skip that step. Then to paint and decorate the box. So we bought some acrylic paints and had to paint like three coats to cover up the Quaker man on the oatmeal box. Paper mache probably helps with that. Tomorrow we are going to decorate them with stickers. (The girls already got into some of the stickers.)
While we were painting we decided to finally paint the train sheds that Felipe and the Goo made back in October I think. Goo touched up the paint on some of his trains. The kids also painted valentine boxes for the cards they will get at the valentine party.
So here are some pictures.
