This is actually the second picture Felipe and I took together (taken on May 24, 1999). The first was taken about 2 hours before this picture.
I love the month of February for a lot of reasons. February is short and sweet. It doesn't drag on forever. I like February weather. Felipe and I met at the end of February in 1999. We became parents in February. We used to get two Mondays off of school in a row when I was a kid - now it is just one.
Our first Valentine's Day was in 2000. We ended up breaking up that night (no surprise really if you know our dating story).
On our second Valentine's Day (2001) I thought Felipe was going to propose. I think he had the ring already, but didn't ask me until March 15th on the Ides of March. (We didn't break up that day though.)
I think when holidays are on the weekend we should get a holiday observed day on the next Monday. What happens in Utah when Halloween is on a Sunday (like this year)? Is it observed on Saturday? We are still a little new at at being Utah-ens. I think it would be nice if we could go trick-or-treating on Saturday instead.
Anyways, Happy Valentine's Day to my wonderful husband who copied all of our pictures on CD's for me as a present and to my little valentine kids that make me about 5 valentines a day. I love my family so much!!

Very sweet picture! By the way, I love hearing you and Felipe's love story. I'll probably ask to hear it again some day!
